I wonder if you may help me better understand howgdp is measured and the difference between rer and gdp. I'm working on helping better project how macro economic variables impact Brazilian tourism. Popular assumption expected that the primary variable in decreasing tourism abroad was the depreciating real. My regression results show that the strongest correlation is actually gdp. I'm having trouble explaining this to my colleagues. Assuming my results are correct, how would you explain this?
