Ask a Question
Between the earlier video on strategic trade policy and this one on terms of trade, it seems that parts of mercantilism are born again with much more analytical trappings. As the majority of these post Smith economists are English, it lends to an impression that economics was a point of national/patriotic advantage, much like aeronautics was to Nazi Germany. Or perhaps it's more an artifact of the DevEcon insight that geography is a determinant of institutions.
