Ask a Question
You talk about mercantilism using the past tense, but I think mercantilism is very much alive and kicking around the world today. It is the main framework through which to see the economy for people who haven't studied economics (the vast majority of the population) and the politicians they vote for. Ask people about the issues mentioned in the video: balance of trade, interest rates, population growth, etc... and the answer is going to be 100% mercantilist. At least where I live.
