So would the students reading the ABC of Communism have parsed everything explicitly mentioning communism be taken in the future tense, while every mention of socialism was connected to a present tense/sense?
Communism was always something to be achieved, always in the future, yes. Socialism was the system already in place. This was the official position and students were taught this. Do you know the steps necessary to bring about the communist society? Do you think there was ever any chance of achieving it?
